Q. What are your candles made of?

A. Our candles are made with an all-natural soy wax that's produced from US grown soybeans, phthalate free fragrance oils that are cruelty free and vegan friendly, and cotton wicks that are lead and zinc free.

 

Q. What is a wickless candle?

A. A wickless candle is a container candle that does not contain a wick. The use of a wickless candle eliminates the chance of a fire & soot. They are great for any room in your home, as well as college dorms, work office spaces, hotel rooms, or any other place that prohibits the use of a traditional candle. 

 

Q. How does a wickless candle work if it does not have a wick?

A. A wickless candle has to be placed on an electric warming plate to release the scent into the airspace of your home, office or any other preferred area.  Wickless candles are easy to use while reducing the risk of fire and smoke damage associated with an open flame. 

 

Q. How long does a wickless candle last?

A. A wickless candle can last for 60 days or more depending on how ofter it is in use.

 

Q. Why does my candle look cratered after burning?

A. The cratered (ugly) tops after burning are common with soy wax. This happens when the candle cools inconsistently after extinguishing the flame. The good news is that it does not affect the performance of the candle.

 

Q. Why should I trim the wicks before relighting my candle?

A. Wick trimming is a part of proper candle burning. You should trim your wick to 1/4 of an inch before each use. Untrimmed wicks are a major contributor to unsightly black residue build up on candle jars. 

 

Q. Oops... I spilled wax! What can I use to clean up the spill?

A. If you find yourself in a "waxy" situation, luckily soy wax is an easy clean up. If the wax is in a liquid state, use paper towels to sop up spilled wax immediately.
If the wax has already hardened, use a credit card or something similar with a hard plastic edge to gently scrape off spilled wax. Use mild soapy water or rubbing alcohol to remove any leftover residue.

Q. What if my item(s) arrive damaged?

A. Please inspect your order upon reception. Contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item(s), so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. If your item(s) arrive damaged please submit a photo and a brief description via email to cdt@scentcravebydawn.com within 48 hours. 

 

Q. Do you accept refunds/ returns/ exchanges?

A. NO REFUNDS, NO RETURNS, & NO EXCHANGES
All sales are final on all products. Used products can not be returned or exchanged. However, customers satisfaction is a top priority.
